Four of our swimmers made the trip to sunny Somerset at the start of July for the ‘Summer Splash’ Open Meet organised by Aquae Sulis. Between them Erica, Hattie, Molly & Zoe entered a total of 14 races ranging from 50 to 200m, all swum in Millfield’s luxurious 8-lane 50m pool. Although some of the other competitors had travelled from as far as Devon and Dorset, our swimmers put in very strong performances, all winning medals and generally improving their times – in some cases by 20 seconds! And when they weren’t racing they were equally as good at cheering on their team mates. All in all a very enjoyable weekend.
